My boyfriend volunteers at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida. He helps out with the marine mammals department. On Tuesday he was helping feed a freshly rescued baby otter and it passed away because it was in such bad shape. I wanted to draw something in memory of the baby otter.

I have been creating websites at work for a few companies. None of them are live yet but I wanted to show you the progress. This first one is for Tierney's Cafe. I made them two renditions of the same layout, just changing the background, sign and little elements. They chose the black one as their favorite. It should be online soon! =D

I tried to make it have a feel of the 1930's because thats when the house was made. Rumor has it the owner of the house was a doctor. He would periodically be blind folded and kidnapped by Bonnie and Clyde and would give them medical treatment back at the hide out. Cool huh?

The argument started over a few beers. My friend Sean and I started arguing over what lived in our basement. Raptors or Draculas (no, not vampires, DRACULAS). So it escalated into who would win and who could possibly survive yadda yadda yadda. No one won. We came to a truce.

Fast forward to today. Sean and I were yacking about war when all of a sudden we came to the conclusion that it would be hilarious if I made him a propaganda poster. I chose the subject. Even though I forgot when it was too late that he was on the Draculas side. It doesn't matter. Its funny anyway.

Lent Lent Lent

I made this in honor of Lent. Or really anti Lent. Don't get me wrong, my mothers side of the family is Catholic but frankly my dear Watson I don't give a damn! I made Mushroom Veal soup today and it was basically sex.

Veal-Mushroom Soup

1lb veal cubes
1tbsp butter
1tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 large minced onion
1 leek, trimmed, cleaned, sliced into rings
1 clove of garlic, minced
3 cups beef brother
1/4 cup heavy cream

1. Cook veal in a stew pot you can cover in butter until browned on both sides. Season the veal with half the salt and all of the cayenne pepper. Stir in onion, leeks and garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes stirring often.

2. Add brother, mushrooms and the rest of the salt. Stir. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to simmering. Let that cook for 30 minutes.

3. Stir in cream, reduce heat again and cook for 5-10 more minutes.

4. EAT THE SEXY SINFUL SOUP!

I moved to TX! Well last week I did. Drove a Uhal down with my dad, dog and snake. Took about 2 days. I've been applying for jobs, selling costumes and making last minute commissions up until now. I love it down here! The weather is a 100% improvement from what I left up in the great white north. I'm not going to lie, it is kinda lonely down here but I'm sure I can make friends somewhere along the way.

I'll take pictures of my room after I finish up with the costume. It kinda exploded all over the place. On another note my father bought me an orchid! ^_^ Sooner or later my room is going to be full of plants! At my old place we couldn't have plants because the animals would destroy them.

I went to an interview today at a place that was basically the equivalent of Academy College, however I am not teaching. I'll be working the cafe (if I get it) which is fine. Much less stress. X3 I've been eating super healthy since I got down here and I'm pretty sure I'll be loosing any winter weight I have on me. Okay I'm done talking about me.

TV Shows I Enjoy!
Arrested Development is hands down one of the greatest TV shows to ever come into existence. The whole point to the show is family togetherness... a family that is so into themselves that its hilarious to see any attempt at kindness. Reminds me of my family in a way. My mother is the spitting image of Lucile Bluth (the mother). One an offhanded note clearly I am white for liking this show.

Probably one of the most insane reality TV shows ever known to man. Based around a series of challenges between two best friends. This is clearly a show about "Good" vs "Evil ." Kenny is an evil mastermind that villains should take notes from. You kinda feel bad for Spenny who tries to fulfill the competitions as honestly and fairly as he possibly can. 90% of the time Kenny cheats or convinces Spenny that he has won in a gentlemanly fashion, but we know whats up.

When it comes to reality TV shows Paris Hilton's My New BFF is the most ridiculous one around. Who honestly wants a competition for ones affections and/or friendship? I saw the show mid season and I thought it was retarded. Somehow I got to watching it first episode on and thats when I got pulled in. Wont say its a good show however, I will say its an ADDICTIVE show. Don't judge. We all have our flaws.

This was the other Christmas present I made for the twins. I did the design a long time ago for a school project. It was supposed to be "make a tshirt for a band." I was inspired by the Bloodhound Gang. I just added the quote on the back, my own device, and frankly I find it makes the shirt all the more hilarious. I made it using Niahm's tshirt tutorial. I really like how they turned out.

First up Mr Angerhorn the sock monkey! Dont let his mustache fool you... HE IS CRAZY AS FUCK! He was my first sock monkey ever! I have a feeling I might make more. Some a little more... angrier.
My mother once upon a time won some radio show's #1 cougar competition (me going to all my friends and classrooms demanding they do this might have helped sway the competition a bit). We always thought it was the greatest joke. My mother decked out the new living room in leopard print, gold walls, and black leather (my brothers and I dubbed it the cougar den, check SNL for the refrence) so I just had to make her a leopard mascot!
This picture frame was found at a good will for 3 bucks! The painting inside was real. I originally wanted to paint over it and replace it with a steak as a ha ha funny to my brother Robear. When we found out it was a real painting I didnt have the heart to paint over it... so I defaced it instead with meat!
Btw I know Christmas is like in 3 days but I really do have my Cafepress up and running with 3 types of shirts, 2 mugs and a THONG! Go get your Rabidnani crap at CafePress!

1976 Vanguard DCI Finals

This is totally my dad in the 1976 Vanguard DCI Finals. He solo starts at 1:46. He played the marching baritone in this crew but normally he plays the trombone. My family on my fathers side has always been musically talented. I played the Fhorn and my grandfather is a concert organist. A hand full of cousins are horn players. Blah blah blah. Fun stuffs! I think this is awesome that this was put online!

BLOGS!

Im not going to lie I've never been a big fan of blogs until recently. Cracked.com has kept me entertained during these long winter months as well as a few others who I can now call my select favorites.

When I started playing this silly little game on Facebook called Pet Society I was hooked. After I played for about a month I was introduced to this little gem. Pet Society Anon The girl is hilarious. Makes Pet Society seem like a High School drama and a way of life. Sounds odd the way I put it but really, it had me rolling on the floor.

One of my good friends Niahm has an interesting craft blog that I cannot get enough of! Urban Threads Blog She creates the most cutest designs for her embroidery site then she posts tutorials every week incorporating said designs. The main reason why I love reading her blog is because of the way she writes as well as her subjects. They are my cup of tea.

Course I am saving the best for last. This was one of the first blogs I ever took interest in. The Sneeze This man is a writing genius. He writes about random shit, his daily life and his tree that seems to keep growing a "brain." My favorite stories are about his kids and his wife as odd as that sounds. This man has kept me up hours reading back logs. It makes for a good life waister.

Dunno if anyone ever reads my blog but frankly until something more interesting in my life pops up I am just going to keep posting about the stuff I like! Next: TV Shows

I hate snow

Thats right kids! Thanksgiving came and went but Christmas is soon upon us! If you live in the north that is only half the fun. The other half is having to dig your freaking car out of a 6 foot bank of snow... which I had to do... only it was 6 inches instead. Thanks Wisconsin.

I went to my mums house for Thanksgiving and had a grand time of thwarting questions about what I shall do with my life (they don't think illustrating is a real job). As a thanks to my mum I trimmed the family Christmas tree (see above picture). That tree has a whopping 6 boxes of ornaments... thats like over 1,500 little suckers that I have to put on this beast. Took me a good part of the day. Good thing I had my little brother there to help me.

Needless to say I had a grand time except for having to dig my car out of the snow only to find that one of my tires was effed up and thus also finding out that my tie rod (is that correctly spelled?) was cracked so I might have died if I drove my poor Lumina home with out getting it fixed! That was an AWESOME run on sentence!

Anyway, Daisho con as a blast as small conventions go. Ash and I are looking forward to Handmaidens (see advertisement below) this Sunday! Wee! Our convention schedule is almost over! Then come the holidays! =D Orlando here I come!

This is what I have been doing as of late! Costumes! Wee! I made myself a Victorian Hunting outfit and Fox was turned into an owl. Both costumes are riddled with Fleur De Lis and owl charms. The pictures taken were done by the wonderful Sarah Beth.
Both costumes are made out of taffeta and bridal satin. Wrinkles so easily! XD
Ain't Foxtrot CUUUUTE? =D You can really see the owl costume in this picture. Sadly he has so much fur you cant see his collar. It matches mine! Happy Halloween everybodies!

Squirrels Gotta Eat

In light of the Halloween spirit I made a zombie squirrel. Or at least a squirrel eating zombie parts. Better yet, zombie fingers. You can tell by the green tinge to the skin right? RIGHT? Im just joshin. Im sitting at Cupcake having a... CUPCAKE!

Zantigo's and Eye Candy!

As of late I just feel like giving shout outs to places I love and objects I adore. First off someone asked me where I got my eye glasses and what they are. Well! First off I went to this cute little shop in Delafield, WI called Eye Candy. The girls there were dolls and they served yummy tea drinks for the customers. The glasses are by Jean Lafont and the design is named Sarah 675.

Now next I am going to make mention of this wonderful fast food joint called Zantigo. Its only around the Minnesota area but they serve the greatest thing ever called a chilito. On my way back from WI I totally went there and had three of them. Its out of the way but worth it. The best thing of all though is when I went to get my drink. I was going in for the tea and super excited to see they had sweet tea! That is like water in a desert! A giraffe with a short next. My student showing up on time! Where the heck is he?!

Look at me look at me! I have new hair! It has been about 6 years since I had my normal hair color. People always thought me to be a brunet but nah! Strawberry blonde! My mother a while ago won the WKLH Cougar competition and received a ton of gift certificates. One of them was from a swank salon called Antons. We went there and they gave me the works.

It was worth it if you ask me XD I missed my old hair.

I am visiting my family in WI right now. I drove all by myself for five hours along with my pomeranian Foxtrot at my side. On Friday night my mother took my brother and I to this really ritzy restaurant called Swig. It just relocated to a more ritzier area. I had the baked stuffed chicken. Inside the chicken was asparagus, applewood smoked bacon and italian cheese and it was served on a bed of garlic butter fettuccine. It was probably one of the greatest things I have ever had. Food and I are having a torrid love affair. The interior of the restaurant was pretty swank as well.
Currently I am over at a friend of the family's house babysitting a slew of 13 year olds (along with my mother and a few adult friends). While the children play the adults have steak, asparagus and beer. Anyway, right now I am sitting in the Panasonic's Ep30005 Massage Lounger. Its probably the most sexiest thing I have ever sat in... if chairs can be sexy. 15 minutes in this bad boy and you will feel like butter. In a good way. If you have 5,000 dollars laying around I suggest you pick one of these babies up.

Burn After Reading

I just saw Burn After Reading in the Uptown Theatre. I went into it just wanting to see a movie about Bitt and Clooney to be honest. I had only seen the trailer and I thought it looked like it would be hilarious. The first bit of the movie I was confused as all hell but then the shit hit the fan and I couldn't stop laughing during the last 30 minutes of the movie. It just kept getting worse and worse! I wont spoil it for anyone but I didn't know that the Coen Brothers made the movie. I just didn't even think about it. If anyone loves Fargo then you will love this movie. Hands down. I think thats why I liked the movie so much. Just reminded me of Fargo in that off kilter sort of way.

Ash and I are chugging away at products for AWA so I have little time to be on the internets. On the last weekend of this month though we are going to be at the Ren Fest that Friday then the weekend we will be at School Girls and Mobile Suits that takes place in MCAD our old college. More Skwee products will be sold there!

On a weird note I just saw the 1988 movie Akira for the first time ever. After I watched it my friend made me rewatch the Kanye West music video Stronger and I kid you not I started to squeal like a little girl. Here it is for you viewing pleasure. I am so behind in fads. I fail at life.

Caffetto and Pandas

Rabidnani.net has had a makeover! I got bored with my old layout two days ago and I just couldn't help myself. The portfolio page has new sections complete with rollovers! =D Right now I am at Caffetto updating and putting my site online. I just had a Flaming Mocha! My mouth is on FIRE! Yay cayenne pepper x.x The shop is cute and the walls are lined in ship artwork. I think I am going to submit my family with boats as heads for their collection. I think it fits.

I have been cutting out 34 panda hats for AWA. There will be at least 7 different colors! So many to choose from! Coming soon! Pink and blue fur yeti hats and plushies! Skwee's shop is still on hiatus. Thats my fault but we have to take photos of the products to put them online but conventions keep popping up. Oof!

Dragon*Con and beyond!

For the past month I have been at a convention every other weekend. That means that I have either been making products for said convention or a ton of costumes. I just got back from Dragon*Con which was my "relaxing" convention. Har har har yeah right. I made 4+ costumes in less than a week. I am a freaking machine! Still, had a blast. I would never miss D*C for the world.

At the end of September I will be heading yet again to another convention. Anime Weekend Atlanta will be hit up by Skwee! Products will be sold along side Hayley who runs SuperHappyGoGo. She is a very talented illustrator and one of my best friends.

I was just featured on Urban Threads as well! I have gotten a ton of awesome feed back and my design was a hit! =) I love my little monster godzilla dude. Go buy him as a machine embroidery design!

Anime Iowa and such

This weekend I will be at Anime Iowa manning the Skwee booth. So everyone please keep me company and buy a French Toast! I've been slowly updating the Skwee website. The shop should be coming up soon once. Just have to take photos of the products and the what not.

I've been working on a couple projects for my mother's friends. I have a couple designs that may go on some motorcycles. The above picture is a rejected idea but I love it so much that I thought to show everyone. This will probably become a T-shirt design.
